IVÁN DE ALDÉNURI. The Forest of the Taurocs
In a legendary land of the ancient world, with a certain Celtic air, Ivan of Aldenuri, a boy of 12, discovers to his great surprise, that he is able to fly by means of an effort of mental concentration. He is unaware of the source or scope of his powers, but he must use them wisely in order to help his friends in Errion-Thal and to escape with his life from the terrible struggle in which he is to become unwittingly involved. He must face the fearsome Kerren pirates of the north, as well as the mythical taurocs: ferocious, enormous creatures which were supposed to have disappeared from the face of the earth, but which, it seems, have returned from the remote past ...
IVÁN DE ALDÉNURI. The Heritage of Bèrehor
A continuation of the eternal struggle between good and evil which was initiated and partially concluded in the previous book. The Morghuks, a radically hostile people, achieve their purpose of disrupting the peace and harmony among the inhabitants of Aldenuri. Their ill will focuses with particular virulence on Ivan and his family. Our brave protagonist finds himself bereft of his capacity to fly. His power, which mysteriously came to him in the previous book, now disappears equally mysteriously, making things even more difficult for him. The situation becomes more and more complicated for Ivan and his friends, and culminates in the "Battle of the Pass of the Giants" in the distant island of Erreth-Llàyr, 300 miles to the north of Aldenuri. During the battle, which will determine the future of Aldenuri and its surroundings, new and unusual heroic characters take part, in a typically epic style, contributing decisively to a surprise ending which the reader will not suspect until the final page.
IVÁN DE ALDÉNURI. The Siege of Muihl-Athern
Whereas the previous story took place in the north, in this book the action takes place in the high plateau of Thérraîn, in which the yammouths roam at will, and previously unknown peoples are also to be found.
Ivan is once again involved in a thrilling adventure in which, as a culmination to his previous adventures, he stakes his all on a definitive victory in a fight to the death over the Morghuks. Whoever is defeated in the battle will be annihilated as a people. Furthermore, young Léirenn is in grave danger of losing her life and only Ivan is in a position to save her. Of course, on occasion, saving the girl’s life requires a sacrifice which seems to be contrary to the interests of the inhabitants of Aldenuri, which makes the situation particularly difficult and dramatic for the protagonist.
Ivan travels through distant and strange landscapes, with high mountains crowned by everlasting snow, as well as cold caverns inhabited by sinister cannibal warriors.
The taurocs appear again and their indomitably fierce nature leads them to face the no less terrifying yammouths ...
