    • ALDENURI: a village; the birthplace of the main character of this saga.
    • ÁLDENDOR: territory or country in which Aldenuri is found.
    • ERRION-THAL: a peninsula close to Áldendor from which Áldendor’s inhabitants proceed.
    • ARKANE: a forest to the south of Errion-Thal, inhabited by the morghuks from time immemorial.
    • NIELSKO: the territory between Áldendor and Errion-Thal.
    • NIÉLSKOVAR: the language of Nielsko, whose roots are different to those of the language used in Áldendor (Aldenoric).
    • ERRETH-LLÀYR: an island to the north of Aldenuri.
    • KERRENIA: the Kerren territory.
    • ÉLDAS-KÁLAR: capital city of Eastern Kerrenia.
    • HOORDERRAK: in the Kerrenic tongue, “western isle”. The westernmost of the two areas in which the Kerren territory is divided.
    • THÓRMAN-DUN: a walled city located in the midst of the Thérraîn steppe.
    • THÉRRAÎN: a vast steppe subject to an extreme climate, which lies to the south of the Aldenuri mountains.
    • KÉLDORÁIN: narrow and perilous sea pass which leads to the coast of Aldenuri.
    • FHÁRENDAIN: border post which guards the southeast of Áldendor.
    • ATHERBEA: a village to the south of the island of Erreth-Llàyr.
    • HÉREGGOR or EASTERN MOUNTAINS: distant mountains to the east of the steppes of Thérraîn.
    • PASS OF THE GIANTS: each of the communicating passes between the northern and southern slopes of the mountains known as Medd, on the island of Erreth-Llàyr.
    • THE MEDD DIVIDE (or just “the divide”): the long chain of mountains which crosses the island of Erreth-Llàyr from east to west, dividing it into two clearly differentiated regions.
    • NAHI-ARAI: a village in the interior of the island of Erreth-Llàyr, to the south of the divide.
    • ÉRDAIN: a village in the southeast of Áldendor, where Lánder comes from. By extension, the neighbouring mountains are known as the "Mountains of Érdain".
    • YNNDURNOR: territory to the east of Errion-Thal.
    • BYUR-MUKKA: sinister Morghuk village in the north of the island of Erreth-Llàyr.
    • HÍRIKORR: a hill leading to the fortress of Muihl-Athern, from Áldendor.
    • MUIHL-ATHERN: ancient fortress in the mountains to the south of Érdain, built by an ancient people who later disappeared without trace.

    • ÁLDENOR: a native of Áldendor.
    • KERREN: a warlike and seafaring people in the north.
    • MORGHUK: an evil and hostile people.
    • EEKKLO: the main village of Errion-Thal.
    • FENNDOR: a fortified house in the south of Errion-Thal, home of Ghulden and his son Astuur.
    • SKERRAG: a kerrenian ship, known for its amazing versatility and speed in the open sea.
    • THAINE: in Áldendor, the person responsible for governing each village.
    • THAINU: a thaine, in the dialect of the island of Erreth-Llàyr.
    • ÉNAITH: a thaine in the dialect of Thórman-Dun.
    • SNØRKA: among the Kerren, a position similar to that of the thaine, except that a snørka’s authority extends not only over a village, but over the whole of the territory.
    • BÈREHOR: a legendary figure who defends his people very effectively.
    • SUKKÔTS: a traditional drink taken at special events in Aldenuri.
    • URKKÔTS: a traditional drink taken at special events in Errion-Thal. It should be drunk from the horn of an aurochs.
    • VARGGO: a characteristic fishing vessel of Erreth-Llàyr.
    • NAHI-ARAYRN: a Native of Nahi-Arai.
    • SÎKKR: huge Morghuk cargo ships.
    • RUHAR: a primitive cannibal people from the steppes of Thérraîn.
  4. CREATURES
    • TAUROCS: huge animals. They look like monsters and their aggressiveness is unequalled. Their tough hide makes them invulnerable, save for the eyes, neck and heel. Their head is shaped like a bull’s.
    • WAROLF: extremely ferocious animals similar in looks and voraciousness to a hyena, but the size of a bear. During the day they take refuge in deep lairs and caves. At night they ravage the steppes of Thérraîn.
    • YAMMOUTHS: Vast mastodons common in the plains of Thérraîn.
    • KRILDEN: cephalopods frequently found in the sea of Enden. They often attack whole fleets of ships and sink them with ease.
    • GRAZKOS: a species of corvidae which was very abundant in the past; a few specimens may still be found in the heart of the forest of Arkane.
    • KODHRAS: a gigantic sea-serpent of the depths. It rarely comes to the surface, but when it does, it is able to penetrate some miles inland on its tiny abdominal feet. It is extremely violent and devours anything it finds in its path.
